Green Juice

We like to juice with cucumbers, celery and sunflower sprouts. Sprouts add lots of protein so choose which ones you like. Sunflower, pea, and buckwheat are among the highest in protein.

Here’s a simple 16 oz recipe for our ever famous Jobri juice! Double this per person per day…

2-3 cucumbers unpeeled if organic, peeled if not

2 stalks of organic (when possible) celery

2 handfuls of sprouts

1/4 lemon (optional)

pinch of fresh ginger to taste (optional)

You will get better at tweaking this to your own taste. Substitutions are absolutely allowed. Other suggestions are: Kale, romaine, carrots sparingly (since they are sweet, taking the fiber out accelerates the sugar content), green apple, pear or any other *low glycemic fruit, spinach, beets and tips, any beautiful green leafy veggie.  For an added zing, add ginger and lemon!

*(We just ask you to be mindful of sugar when using fruit)

Why juice instead of blend? Both are really good though juicing takes out the fiber and allows for easier digestion. It requires less work and the good stuff is more easily digested and absorbed so your body and immune system can utilize its energy directly for healing….what it was designed to do!

Enjoy 2 16oz glasses of this healing green juice per day! Your body and cells will thank you for the extra oxygen, vitamins and minerals!
